Wushu West is very proud of the accomplishments of it's students over the years. The purpose of this page is to highlight some of the exemplarary work and achievements of our past and present students. It is thanks to their hard work and perserverence that makes teaching wushu a joy and gives us great pride when we see them exceed in their live's endeavors.

Collin Lee
Collin Lee is the star wushu performer at Wushu West for men under 17 years of age. Collin has approached his training with iron discipline and high spirits and has thus made rapid advances in his martial skills and knowledge. He is flexible, agile, ambidextrous and shows the promise to become a future wushu master. He has won numerous gold medals in both wushu as well as traditional Chinese martial arts and participates in regional, national and international tournament competitions. He spends his summers training intensively in Beijing to further develop his skills. Collin recently won a place on the A-Team of the U.S. National Wushu Team. He works to represent the United States in the sport of wushu at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

Shahaub Roudbari
Shahaub has spent most of 2007 training with the Beijing Wushu Team at Shi Cha Hai, Beijing to prepare for both the U.S. Wushu Team Trails and the Iranian Wushu Team Trails. He has been selected among 12 athletes to continue training for the 2008 Olympics.

Pierre Combes
Pierre is an inspiration to everyone at Wushu West. Over the last year he has shed 30lbs and become one of the most active and driven students. He continually pushes himself and others that can keep up to become a better martial artist. Jiayo Pierre!
Stephanie Lim
A 16 year old athlete with energy and grace, Stephanie Lim strives toward a spot on the U.S. National Team and competing in the trials for the American Olympic Team. At Wushu West, she has won gold medals at the U.C Berkeley Chinese Martial Arts Tournament for long fist, straight sword, and staff. Stephanie has participated in three summer intensive training sessions in Beijing . She earned a place on the C-Team of the U.S. National Wushu Team at the trials on August 6 th and 7th of 2005 in Connecticut.
Jennifer and Cheri Haight
The Haight sisters trained at Wushu West from 1997 to 2002. Their ability to learn quickly and their natural physical abilities, combined with their many years of hard work, brought them considerable success in the national wushu competitive circuit. More recently they landed the lead roles in Cirque Du Soleil's production of "Ka" at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mark Moran
Mark started his wushu career at Wushu West in 1995 and has placed well in National competition over the years. In 2000 he received the Grand Championship award at the U.C. Berkeley Chinese Martial Arts Tournament and in the same year he also places 2nd in Nanquan at the U.S. Nationals. More recently he landed a position working for movie star Jet Li in Shanghai, China where he maintains the Official Jet Li Website.
