Romeo and Juliet - A Fire Ballet
Wushu West of Berkeley brings the excitement of Chinese martial arts to the Crucible’s production of Romeo and Juliet as a fire ballet. In the exciting fight scenes between rival Montague and Capulet family members, different aspects of wushu weaponry, animal forms, long fist and southern fist styles combine to form a mosaic of traditional Chinese martial arts. This montage unites with the rhythm and timing of the music.
