Wushu West's top students competed at the U.S. Team Trails in Maryland.

Woo Hoo!

Collin Lee has made the A Team, and the rest of the Wushu West students did very well too. Lets see what some of them have to say:

Team Trials was a great learning experience as well. It's a great way to test yourself, compare yourself to others, and learn from/meet other people in the wushu community. Ironically, though it is a competition, you make no enemies, only new friends. Be prepared, though, because this competition was TOUGH.

The 2007 U.S. Wushu Team Trials was one of the most difficult and challenging event in American Wushu History. With over a hundred of America's top wushu practioners (some events contained more than 50 competitiors and ran for over two hours) and new rules to comply with, Sifu Patti led us through one of the most challenging experiences a wushu athlete can endure. From the intensive training each one us underwent in Beijing prior to the competition, to actually stepping out on the carpet with hundreds of pairs of eyes set on us, Sifu Patti and the Wushu West team were a constant source of encouragement and support. It is through these closely knit bonds and relationships that we all formed with each other and our coach that we have been able to launch to the national and international stage.
